Frank Peters Bio:
Frank Peters has created a body of work that reflects his life journey, from the 50s family farm at Cowichan Station down so many highways and byways, with their twists, turns, detours and destinations. Frank's songs celebrate roaming, from fortune to tragedy, chasing love and wisdom wherever it would reside. The same deft fingers that placed blasting caps, cut and piled lumber, felled trees, handled cattle and guided highway rigs, now press the strings and squeeze out the melodies that carry his wonderful stories to our welcoming ears. From joyous births to eternal rest, the triumphs of life and love, Frank's songs deliver messages that sustain, comfort and entertain. These days, Frank guides his band, Range Patrol, through a fulfilling evening of the work he's created over the past half century. His fellow practitioners of the classic old roots country include multi-instrumentalists Lloyd Jackson (guitar, mandolin, harmonica, banjo, bass and vocals), Rob Leier (bass, guitar) and Rob Gilgan on drums and vocals. While he might downplay the fact that his songs have won awards, Frank sings them all with an inspiring authority and authenticity. We all believe music is best served live, but if you can't make it to a concert nearby, you can enjoy Frank Peters and Range Patrol on Apple iTunes and Spotify or with his CD '50 Miles From Nowhere'.
